it's early morning once again. today is friday and i might be going to the movies later tonight with my mom. i think we might go see the new film, The Lovely Bones, but i'm not totally sure. i hope we can get together and have a fun peaceful night. oh, and we might even go eat at this asian place we like called, pei wei. seriously, the food there is fantastic and freekin' good!!! we always get the spicy dan dan noodles and lemon pepper chicken, with a side order of crab rangoons. mmm... my mouth is watering just thinking about this wonderful food!!! I WANT SOME NOW!!!
well, okay then. now throughout my years of going to concerts, i sometimes have had the good pleasure and honor of seeing certain bands that are no longer with us. these artists sometimes break up and go about their separate lives, usually heading back to their families and regular jobs, or sometimes forming new bands. in the summer of 2006 i went to a Mewithoutyou show and the band that opened for them was one i really liked. after that show i went out and found some of their stuff. they were called, Piebald, and they broke up in 2008.
for what i can remember, they put on a great show. the energy was at it's highest point for that moment, and the club was sweaty and steamy. here in oklahoma, we have humid summers, so it's always a sticky place to be. i distinctly remember the band looking very tired and wornout. i assume this came from them being a band for many years and struggling to keep it going. i often see this type of look on artists when they come around to play. the lifestyle of a touring muscisian is a difficult one, but like most usually say, it's all about the music.
this band formed in 1994 in andover massachusetts, before moving to boston. they were originally a hardcore band, but dropped that quickly and moved into the indie/emo style. they became more and more popular with each release, hitting their peak with the album, We Are The Only Friends We Have. this is a fantastic album all the way through, and what makes me like it so much is the brilliant lyrical content. songs like, "king of the road" "just a simple plan" and "american nights" stand out to me for their honest delivery and simple approach to content. today i have the already mentioned album for you to check out. it's great, fun indie/emo/pop music that can appeal to anyone. enjoy!!! oh, and piebald is getting back together in 2010 to play at the bamboozle shows in new jersey this year. hopefully this means they will tour again!!! (hopefully...)

Andy went back to school. He got sick of Newbury Comics.
Aaron still rides a lot, except now, now he's just fatter.
Alex took over for Alex Van Halen, after his major surgery.
Jon, well, he got married to Laura and I teach their kid in first grade.
Thought I saw you on the road last night.
I need to get my eyes checked.
Can't believe I love something as yellow as you.
"He's gone so deal with it man."
"Wait, after all, he did get us across the world and back."
Weren't you parked at the station?
My mind is playing tricks on me.
Can't believe I love something as yellow as you.
"He's gone so deal with it man."
"Wait, after all, he did get us across the world and back."
We left you in a Carolina.
I need to rub my eyes.
We keep your door like it's a postcard from you from camp.
Maybe we'll see you in a junkyard soon. Oh man I really hope not.
Can't believe I love something as yellow as you.
"He's gone so deal with it man."
"Wait, after all, he did get us across the world and back."
Maybe you're in auto heaven.
Oh man I really hope so.
Can't believe I love something as yellow as you.
"He's gone so deal with it man."
"Wait, after all, he did get us across the world and back."
"Wait, after all, he did get us across the world and back."
Hell, yeah.
Now it's all the same.
Now it's all the same.
Now it's all the same.
Now it's all the same.
[Children singing the Chorus of "Just A Simple Plan":]
Ready?
One, Two, Three, Four:
Just a simple plan to keep you awake
It's just a simple plan to keep you awake
No matter what I try, your eyeballs seem to hide...
