Friday Isn't Here...

another friday has come. i've had the entire day to work on something. i didn't go sub, so instead i stayed home and slept in like usual. (what a shocker!!!) i'm currently taking a short break to write this quick blog in between beading and getting yelled at by my dad. shoot, i really need to move out of this house soon. i just can't yet because i'm freekin' poor and don't have a steady job. times are tough and i might be the cause of that...

okay, this next band i want to mention was the first live act i ever saw. they opened up for The Smashing Pumpkins here in oklahoma city back in 1996. they had just got started and were hitting the airwaves when they stopped by in my home state. they are called Garbage.



forming back in 1994 in madison wisconsin, garbage became an instant smash with their self titled debut album. singles such as "stupid girl" "only happy when it rains" and "queer" topped the alternative 90's rock charts and subsequent world tours followed. lead by singer shirley manson, the rest of the band consists of duke erikson, steve marker, and butch vig who is famous as a producer for such notable acts as Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and The Foo Fighters.

the band is still active and currently about to start work on their fifth album. i hope you all check out their debut self titled album here and jam on because this is great stuff. enjoy!!!
