Your Ignorant...

last nights south park was fantastic. i haven't seen the show do something that awesome in a long time. the cameos were terrific and the ending left me in stitches. you all should go to southparkstudios.com and watch the episode yourself.

like i have already mentioned, october is proving to be a great month in live music here in oklahoma. to get ready for the shows coming up i want to talk about one of the bands coming. i'm so stoked to finally see them. they are called Dinosaur Jr.

consisting of members J. Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph, dinosaur jr were one of the pioneering bands of the late 80's early 90's alternative music scene. known for their live shows that consisted of loud feedback and noise, the band were held up in high regard and even toured with contemporaries such as My Bloody Valentine, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. (i would have killed to go to that tour...) after their breakup in 1993, members went on to form different projects such as Sebadoh and Folk Implosion. J Mascis kept the name and band going despite not having the original members together. in 2005 the original lineup reunited and have been better than ever releasing two stellar come back albums and touring nationwide to even more people than they use to.

here today are the classic first three albums Dinosaur, You're Living all Over Me, and Bug. after those you will also find their two comeback albums Beyond and Farm. so get with the program and get into some indie rock 101 and fall in love with dinosaur jr.

turn the volume up to 11...
