Quarter Sacks And Quarterbacks...

well my little brother is with me right now. he's spending the night until friday, so i gotta watch out for him. he's currently capping terrorists in Call of Duty, so he can't make it here to say hi, but he sends his regards. oh, and he wants his momma to know he's not scared!!! in other news, i'm going to say i'm almost halfway done with the sequin work. it's going smoothly, but not fast enough for my tastes. i need to get the ball rolling if i'm to finish before red earth starts next weekend...

speeding right along, here's the funktastic music of, Trash Talk.

trash talk is a four piece hardcore band from sacramento, california. they formed in 2005 and have been punishing hardcore mosh warriors ever since. they play a more thrashy/powerviolece type of hardcore that's associated with acts like, D.R.I., Ceremony, Bracewar, R.A.M.B.O., Coke Bust, Sex Vid, Spazz, Scholastic Death, Charles Bronson and Punch. they've toured the world over and are on the verge of really breaking out like fellow hardcore powerhouse, Fucked Up, has in recent years. (this is all based on their appearances at SXSX and pitchfork reviews) one thing i'd like to mention are their live shows. i've been to MANY hardcore shows over the years and not all of them were as epic as a trash talk show. these guys know how to work a crowd and their mosh pits are BBBBRRRRROOOOOOOOTTTTTAAAAAALLLLLL!!! well, not like everybody dies brutal, but just very intense, testosterone fueled hate and punishement led by the kids who come out to sing along and stage dive. i got to see trash talk last summer for the first time. it was here in oklahoma at a Leftover Crack and The Casualties show. trash talk went on second and immediately after they started you could see the divide in the crowd. the street punks were not in the mix of things like the hardcore kids were. it was funny to watch and scary to be in. (i was at the bar...)

you will find pretty much everything else by trash talk right here except their split with Steel Trap. we first start with their demo followed by their self titled 7 inch. we then move to the ep, Walking Disease, then follow that with the ep, Plagues. next in line is their self titled debut, then the East of Eden 7 inch. and finally we come to their brand new full length, Eyes & Nines. this album was produced by the legendary Steve Albini, who was a part of classic acts like Big Black, Rapeman and Shellac. he's also worked on producing albums by artists like, The Pixies, PJ Harvey, Nirvana, Helmet, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, The Stooges, Jawbreaker, Superchunk and Neurosis just to name a few... so when all is said and written, you have an excellent day ahead of you to get trashed by, uh, trash talk i guess. enjoy!!!
