Two tacos for 99¢...

let's make this a quick one. it's friday and there is really nothing to do. hmm... well i guess i could go to norman and hit up jack n' the box, but on the way there i always pass by a peiwei restaurant, and their food is of good quality and spice. hmm...

a little bit disco, a little bit funk and mixed with a whole lot of post-punk, here's Bloc Party.

bloc party were one of the forerunners during the post-punk revival of the 2000's. spearheading this revival along with other acts like, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, The Strokes, The Killers, The Libertines, Editors, The Rapture and Arctic Monkeys among others, bloc party became one of the first successful out of the bunch. british rag NME totally blew their wads over these guys and the hype was in full force back in 2005. yeah, bloc party are a british band. they hail from london, england and formed back in 2003. they are currently on hiatus while front man kele okereke peruses his solo venture. good luck mate...

my post (or rant) on these guys might seem "holier than thou" or "better than you", but in reality... eh. there is no reality to it actually. to be brutally honest, i loved these guys when i first heard them, then just as quickly as they came, i got tired of them. i think most people can agree with me on that. still, their music was good and it had the right amount of pop to it that can still be acknowledged as worthy to be played.

today you will find their entire discography minus an ep or two. it's three full lengths and that's it. first is their debut, Silent Alarm, followed by A Weekend in the City. and in last place is the album, Intimacy. check these out and blah blah blah... go dig yourself...
