ugh, i think i'm getting a bug or somethin'. my nose is stopped up and runny and my throat is sore. this stinks because it means i'm a walking disease. no kissing for me!!! eh, oh well, not all is bad though. i'm still here and enjoying my life a lot more than in the past. i can't help but smile right now as i type this!!!
i wanna make this short because i'm meeting kristy in a bit to have dinner. for this post i'm making a mark for a band i totally missed out on last year. they go by the name, Bo Ningen, which is japanese and i think it means, "stick men"...
okay, so pay attention here, because i'm going to have to explain a lot in a short amount of words if i can. bo ningen is a four piece band from london, england and are one of that nations rising talents. they have been highly praised by fellow rockers, The Horrors and by musical press, nme. to describe their sound, take the heaviness of Black Sabbath and Lighting Bolt, mix in the garage rock roughness of, The Sonics and The Mummies, then stir that with the noise punk spasticness of Melt Banana and Arab On Radar, and you might have a close idea of what this band is all about.
actually, what i listed above is only a taste of the craziness this band does. as i was writing the above paragraph, i kept thinking i'm hearing freekin' King Crimson and kraut rock like, Faust, Neu! and Can. it's no wonder they toured with ex-singer, damo suzuki, from can... anyway, this is really bogus and it's keeping me interested to the very end. it's j-pop turned on it's head and farted on. bo ningen are amazing and come highly recommended!!!
for their tunes, in first place is their debut ep titled, Koroshitai Kimochi. and after that is their self titled debut full length. oh, and just for a warning, these songs are all sung in japanese, so don't freak out
hey readers, i've been gone a few days and trapped by this crazy weather we've been having here in oklahoma. no kidding, it took me almost an hour and a half to get my car out of it's parking spot. good thing i had my zombie killin' bat in the back end because without it i wouldn't have been able to break the ice on the ground!!!
since work was canceled for two days, i spent all that time with kristy. to say it was fun would be an understatement... IT WAS A BLAST!!! lol no really, i believe we had an awesome time and it was great to be that close. getting to know someone you care about is a wonderful and exciting experience. i think the pic below is good proof!!!
it's pretty rare for me to smile this cheesy...
so yeah, it was like that. ah, and this next leads me to one of the best moments that came along. yesterday we both were picked up by her friend and we went to one of my co-workers family's house. over there we ate and watched the thunder game then played a lot of really fun board games. the night was topped off with everyone standing around two tables and playing this addicting card game called, "nuts." this was my first try and i was a bit slow, but i soon got the hang of it and had a wonderful experience. this whole ordeal sort of reminded me of my family and how we "sometimes" get together to have good times. i just wish there was a lot more of it...
ok, so overall this was probably the best winter storm i've been through. you can't beat good company and yummy snacks mixed with radical movies and television shows on dvd. (The Office, Chappelle's Show and LOST...) after all was said and done, i had to sit back and slowly recall everything that happened. it's another good memory i have and i seem to be getting more and more of those lately. KEEP THEM COMMIN'!!! ha ha it was ecstasy...
oh, and speaking of ecstasy, here's a band that did a ton of it!!! let's all give a big cheer for, Primal Scream!!!
yeah yeah, drugs are bad, but in this case (is there really anything i can say that would be "for the drugs" and not against them???) they seemed to have been used to their potential and as such, matter-of-factly, this would make even die hard users like ken kesey proud. uh, what i'm getting at is primal scream were heavy users (and still might be...), but that doesn't mean they should be written off simply because. naw man, they are killer and have made some of the best alternative/whatever kind of music since their start back in 1982 in glasgow, scotland.
they were originally a sort of garage rock type thing, but eventually moved into the psychedelic/pop/dance direction. this all happened during their breakthrough years in the 90's and the album, Screamadelica, is the shining star here. it was during this time that they were a part of the acid-house music scene in the uk and also a part of that whole "madchester" thing up north. so it gets real simple now. if you like any bands such as, The Happy Mondays, Suede, The Stone Roses, Spacemen 3, A Guy named Gerald and My Bloody Valentine, then primal scream are just for you.
not enough can be said for one of the best albums EVER made during the 90's. Screamadelica has it all, shoegaze/dream-pop/brit-pop/soul/psychedelic/dance/acid/pop/indie/rock and probably much more but i just don't want to create any more labels. if you are interested in this, be sure to check out some of my favorite tracks like, "higher than the sun" and "damaged." enjoy!!!
what a super feeling i have right now. my spirit is lifted up high and i feel soooooo good!!! i had a special friday night with a special friend and i left with a huge smile on my face. i went to bed thinking about how awesome a time i had and i just hope things will get even better!!!
okay, so it's now saturday and i'm just enjoying the time i have. no work on monday so yay to that!!! ha ha, i just can't express myself in words at the moment. i can't even begin to describe how i feel without saying something cliche. TOTALLY AMAZING!!! OMG!!!
alright alright, i'll take it down a notch and write some music real quick. since i was in the presence of a lovely young lady last night, i think i'll write a bit about another lovely lady who made freekin' amazing music. i'm not afraid to say, it's Siouxsie and the Banshees.
legendary post-punk from london, england, siouxsie and the banshees are one of the best, most cherished bands from punks past. they, along with several other early acts, are considered gothic rocks beginners. lead singer siouxsie sioux, along with bassist steven severin, formed in the band in 1976. they often followed The Sex Pistols during their early years, learning about making music their own way and how "anyone could do it." the band released their debut album, The Scream, in 1978 and thus, their career as an incendiary post-punk band took off. they toured all over the world and eventually broke up in 1996. they reformed in 2002 to play atthat year's Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival and have been dormant since.
many artists from all styles of music claim this band as a direct inspiration. LCD Soundsytem, Jane's Addiction, Radiohead, TV on the Radio and even DeVotchKa lay down their facts about direct influence and admiration. so, with all that, if you like a few old schools acts like, Joy Division, The Cure, Gang of Four and Public Image LTD, then you will most certainly like siouxsie and the banshees.
as for their music, i'm listing my five favorite albums. we first start with their fantastic debut, The Scream. listen to their cover of The Beatles classic, "helter skelter." next is the album, Join Hands, followed by the album, JuJu. after that is, Tinderbox, and then the amazing album titled, Peepshow. check these out and enjoy!!!
Tis the weekend and ye, schuyler deal of moore-alot, is going to ye powwow at tis fairgrounds. it should be a loyal event, with jesters and good eats. ye, tis me will have plenty offers from young madam's eh??? we will see, be it so, i will not leave unless i have acquired 20 digits!!! alas, at the end, i will face the dragon of the cold and ice, for monday we will be under it's spell and driving will be considered too dangerous. all in good faith though, that we will be safe and sound and have no trouble going to church on sunday. ah, and as of right now, me is eating a reuben sandwich and drinking a rockstar energy. it is time for me to make way, so ye, you kind hearted folk, give yeselves the time of day to make things right in your life. eat well and be merry because we are getting shorter and shorter. embrace your lovers and kiss your children, because sometime soon, we will no longer be able to. ye...
alrighty, so for tonight i want to post on one band who not many know i think. well, not many outside of the uk. they were prominent in the 90's brit-pop scene and are still here today. ladies and gentlemen, here's Manic Street Preachers.
the manic street preachers formed back in 1986 and hail from blackwood, wales. they arose to local fame and became known for their glammed up punk attitude and songs about "culture, alienation, boredom and despair." the original lineup consisted of lead singer/guitarist james dean bradfield, bassist nicky wire, drummer sean moore and rhythm guitarist, richey edwards. during the 90's the band made their prominent mark in music, and released their breakthrough album, The Holy Bible. shortly after this, richey edwards disappeared and has been missing ever since. he was declared deceased in 2008. this tragic event would haunt the band for the rest of their careers, but despite this unfortunate circumstance, they are still making music and touring for the sake of their art.
today you will find the album i mentioned. The Holy Bible is a force to reckon with. the songs blast by with sheer magnitude and the lyrics are of a very personal nature. tis a great record i say, and one not to be missed by ye younglings out there. grab hold of this and bask in the glory of the manic street preachers.
I hate purity Hate goodness I don't want virtue to exist anywhere I want everyone corrupt
I am an architect, they call me a butcher I am a pioneer, they call me primitive I am purity, they call me perverted Holding you but I only miss these things when they leave
I am idiot drug hive, the virgin, the tattered and the torn Life is for the cold made warm and they are just lizards Self-disgust is self-obsession honey and I do as I please A morality obedient, only to the cleansed repented
I am stronger than Mensa, Miller and Mailer I spat out Plath and Pinter I am all the things that you regret A truth that washes that learnt how to spell
The first time you see yourself naked you cry Soft skin now acne, foul breath, so broken He loves me truly this mute solitude I'm draining I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing
Sleep can't hide the thoughts splitting through my mind Shadows aren't clean, false mirrors too many people awake If you stand up like a nail then you will be knocked down I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else
I am stronger than Mensa, Miller and Mailer I spat out Plath and Pinter I am all the things that you regret A truth that washes that learnt how to spell, learnt to spell
So damn easy to cave in, man kills everything So damn easy to cave in, man kills everything So damn easy to cave in, man kills everything So damn easy to cave in, man kills everything
you know it’s time to change a few things in your life once they all start falling apart. i’ve been getting some clear signs lately for many things to be changed. first is my current living situation. i’m still at home, staying at my dad’s along with my step mother and step brother. that old house is falling apart and it seems to get tighter and tighter each day. i need to change it up and move out ASAP!!! next thing to happen is getting a new car. my current one is almost caput, but i still love it. it’s been the best car i’ve ever owned in my entire life. me and my car have been through the ringer (new mexico…) and are still living to tell about it. many miles have been traveled and many hardships have been dealt with, but still we are here. and one of the more important things for me personally, is getting a new computer. i can’t really do my writing as well without one. also, i’m getting behind on my music endeavors, heh heh. ah, i forgot another thing and that is my wardrobe. i honestly do like shopping for new clothes, but i currently have no room for anything. (small closet ya dig???) but besides that, my clothes need to be replaced. most of them are really grungy and remind me of certain times that are hard to think of. (mostly college related…) so i guess that means a change in style is in order. also, a change in looks, and by that i mean, my overall health and fitness. i’ve been trying my best to keep in shape more than ever, and by starting a routine, it’s been coming along, slowly but surely. working out and eating right is a big step, but it will all hopefully lead to a new better me. and despite what obama has said, this is change i can believe in and change i will make for myself...
so, for other matters, let’s get dance funky with Roxy Music.
roxy music is the brain child of front man, Bryan Ferry and his creative team of talented musicians which included famed producer and musician, Brian Eno among others. the group hailed from london, england and started back in 1971. they broke up the first time in 1976, got back together in 1978 and then stopped for good in 1983. since then, ferry and most of the original members have played off-and-on since 2001.
the music these cool cats created was very much glam/proto-punk as well as an early blue print for new wave and post punk. their stage presence was over dramatic, with sharp clothing styles, art school sensibility and a dance ready attitude. they were ahead of the game, and many artists have stated them as a huge influence. you can feel their style in acts like, Duran Duran, The Cars, The Human League, The Smiths, Depeche Mode and Madness. the song, “more than this” from their last album, Avalon, is a personal favorite…
so yeah, it's music time and as you will probably notice, the album covers usually feature a pretty lady on the front, thus emphasizing their sexual undertones and heightening the overall music. this is so welcomed by me and i'm glad it's not as trashy as what we see nowadays. i consider this artwork, which not many artists try to do these days. uh, in advance, sorry for the weird spacing and rapidshare link... okay then, in first place is the bands self titled effort, followed by their second glam rock album, For Your Pleasure. next is the album, Stranded and then the lovely, Country Life which features their most controversial cover that caused an uproar in it's time. after this are the albums, Siren and Manifesto. oh, and on a minor note, siren, along with country life and for your pleasure, are featured in the Rolling Stone Top 500 Greatest Albums Ever Made collection. and for last grabs are the albums, Flesh+Blood and my favorite, number 31 ranked in the greatest albums of the 1980's rolling stone issue, Avalon. now give yourself some breathing room here, because this is some very good music that needs to be absorbed and thought about by you for some time. give it a dig why don't ya???
this isn't a hobbits tale, but a schuyler tale. this past week was a surreal experience to say the least. i still can't quite comprehend what the heck happened, but needless to say, and sorry for using the term, "needless to say", i'm very much in a daze and can't quite get out of it. i'm thinking that the music i've posted the past week is very much a reflection of how my mind is/was working. tonight might be the most eccentric. let's hope this next week will be a better one...
tonight's music isn't an easy choice to settle on, nor is it an easy listening experience. but, it is excellent and worthy of my blog space. tonight, let's get experimental with the music of, The Pop Group.
the pop group is a post-punk band that formed back in 1978 and continued on till 1980. they most recently got back together, but chances are i'll never get to see them. anyways, their brand of music is pretty scant and almost vacant of emotion, but don't let that fool you into thinking this is just dead on arrival. it's bleak, but also full of a rhythm that flows freely and funky. they can make you dance and also make you pull your hair out. in a statement on their plans to reunite, the band said this, "there was a lot left undone,....we were so young and volatile....let's face it, things are probably even more fucked now than they were in the early 80's.....and we are even more fucked off!". this is exactly how i feel now that i'm up to the last day of the weekend. tomorrow is monday and with that comes work. the desperation i'm currently having towards wanting to write and follow my dreams is conflicting with my duties to make money and move out and live a normal life like most older people think i should. i don't think i'm that normal, and the pop group weren't that normal either...
posted on here is the pop group's debut album, simply titled, Y. it's an endurance test in patience and curiosity. i can't explain what it means to me because i'm currently despondent in all areas, but i do enjoy it very much. try listening to it when you are stuck in rush hour traffic...
today is the one year anniversary of a wolf at the door. yes, i really have kept this thing going for a solid year. yeah, it amazes me too!!! below, you will hopefully find my first uploaded video describing this momentous occasion. uh, just to warn you, i'm not the best when it comes to self recording and i most likely will come off as a douche bag hipster, but eh. it was sort of fun and who knows, i might try it again in the future. oh, and no music for today. i'm taking a short break. aaaannnnnnnddddd just ignore the tags. i put those there as a joke. dig it...
let's make this a quick one. it's friday and there is really nothing to do. hmm... well i guess i could go to norman and hit up jack n' the box, but on the way there i always pass by a peiwei restaurant, and their food is of good quality and spice. hmm...
a little bit disco, a little bit funk and mixed with a whole lot of post-punk, here's Bloc Party.
bloc party were one of the forerunners during the post-punk revival of the 2000's. spearheading this revival along with other acts like, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, The Strokes, The Killers, The Libertines, Editors, The Rapture and Arctic Monkeys among others, bloc party became one of the first successful out of the bunch. british rag NME totally blew their wads over these guys and the hype was in full force back in 2005. yeah, bloc party are a british band. they hail from london, england and formed back in 2003. they are currently on hiatus while front man kele okereke peruses his solo venture. good luck mate...
my post (or rant) on these guys might seem "holier than thou" or "better than you", but in reality... eh. there is no reality to it actually. to be brutally honest, i loved these guys when i first heard them, then just as quickly as they came, i got tired of them. i think most people can agree with me on that. still, their music was good and it had the right amount of pop to it that can still be acknowledged as worthy to be played.
today you will find their entire discography minus an ep or two. it's three full lengths and that's it. first is their debut, Silent Alarm, followed by A Weekend in the City. and in last place is the album, Intimacy. check these out and blah blah blah... go dig yourself...
since it feels like the surface of the sun here in oklahoma, it's my duty to help keep our poor dog healthy and not cooked medium well. before i go out today i need to get in the back yard and hose him down with water. he can't run away since he's chained up, so i'll get him good!!! BBWWWAAAA HA HA HA HA!!! (the poor little scamp...) as for later on, i believe i'm going to the movies with my mom and brother to see Toy Story 3. i'm looking forward to seeing something good for once. pixar films never disappoint.
let's keep it sunny and fun with some lovable dance pop courtesy of Phoenix.
phoenix is a little indie dance pop band from paris, france that started back in 1999. i first heard them on the soundtrack to sofia coppola's sleepy indie film, Lost in Translation. the band consists of vocalist thomas mars, bassist deck d'arcy, guitarist chris mazzalai and guitarist laurent brancowitz who joined after his old band, Darlin' broke up. two of his former band mates, thomas bangalter and guy-manuel de homem-christo, would go on to form the amazing dance duo, Daft Punk. starting out slow, the band has built up a fierce fan base and with the release of their latest album in 2009, saw them rise to the top and garner critical acclaim and awards.
today you will find their entire discography. we first start with the debut album, United, then follow that with the album, Alphabetical. next we have the live album titled, Live! 30 Days Ago then their third full length, It's Never Been Like That. and finally in last place is their fantastic album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. this album is a little over 30 minutes and killer straight through. very very nice dance pop that's both fun and sexy. one of 2009's best albums and still great to listen to today. so with that, here's the good stuff and you all need to get with the program. enjoy!!!
it's a monday and it's flooding outside. i'm stuck here until i finish all the work on my dance outfit. i'm trying to have it all finished by this friday for red earth. what is red earth you say??? well for you noobs, it used to be the biggest powwow in oklahoma, and for a short while, biggest in america. (yes, it was bigger than gathering of nations...) this all goes back to it's glory days in the middle 90's, of which i have fond memories of. i know this seems cheesy, but i have always wanted to dance at red earth. it just had this atmosphere i love a whole lot for some reason, and many people come out ( or used to...) to see it. over the years it's become stale and not as heavily populated like before, but the music is still good and the dancers are beautiful like always. red earth is just the first start of the summer powwow season here in oklahoma. after this, just about every weekend will have a powwow going on somewheres...
oh, and since i don't really have the time to be posting, this might be my last one for a few days. just a heads up for you faithful readers!!! (all 0 of you... uh, who am i talking to??? really???)
keeping things moving along, here's a great overlooked band from overseas called, The Chameleons Uk.
another one of the more influential post-punk bands from the 80's, the chameleons formed in 1981 in manchester, england and released several albums and ep's before breaking up in 1987. they were under the radar until the past 15 years or so when they reunited for some successful shows in 2000. often compared to their contemporaries like Echo and the Bunny Men, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Joy Divison and Bauhaus, the chameleons were very good at what they did. their lyrics were more personal and not as dark like others, and they often dealt with childlike innocence and a reverence for nostalgia (according to wikipedia...)
through the years and time spent searching for music on my own, i somehow came across these guys and i'm glad that i did. this is great music that must be heard and hopefully they will get even more recognition than they did before.
now for the music i'm only posting one album by the band and that is the full length called, Strange Times. this is their best release and most popular by far. its a long album, but solid and full of that post-punk/nu-wave style i love so dearly. put down those U2 albums and try this out instead!!!
well this is a dilemma. it seems that the Deftones are coming to oklahoma city may 29th, but also that same day, up in tulsa, is a show with the band, Converge. this stinks, but i know what i have to do. i have seen the deftones five times already, but have never seen converge live. i already made plans for this and i have a friend who lives in jenks that wants to hang out, so the decision is, uh, made. still, they are playing at the diamond ballroom and it would be awesome to see them in such a small place. ugh...
here's a nostalgic trip back to the 80's. i think you all might know this next band, even if the name doesn't strike any familiarity. so with that, let's dance to The Human League.
man, just look at that hair!!! anyway, the human league are a synth pop act from sheffield, england who have been together since 1977. yes, they are still together!!! the only members now are lead singer philip oakey and the two ladies, joanne catherall and susan ann sulley. the group fills in the rest with session and touring musicians. the band also showcases other styles of music like nu-wave/post-punk/indie/and rock. over the course of their career they have released over nine studio albums and 26 singles.
but there is only one album i want to post on today. that album is called, Dare!. released in 1981, this is the album that broke them into the mainstream on the bases of it's very catchy singles. still, there is one single that caught everybody's attention and that single was, "don't you want me" this single became a multimillion seller and made dare! go triple platinum. on a sad and yet interesting note, music journalist and critic Lester Bangs, supposedly died from a drug overdose while listening to this album, which i think he claimed as his favorite album. so anyway, try this out and see if you can't enjoy the awesome tunes!!!
not really a comfort, but a device to help mostly. i can't be sure when or if it's taking place, but i was told it's a subtle thing anyway. yeah, so today was another appointment with the doctor. it went well i guess. we discussed these past few weeks and i mentioned my pains that happened and how i felt during them. she listened well and told me some good advice. this is all a slow process, but it's something that i'll keep at for as long as needed...
while driving back home i jammed some music to blend with the elements. something nice and of low angst. it was the band, Pale Saints.
the pale saints existed from 1987 to 1996. they were from leeds, england and played very nice dream-pop/shoegaze music with later elements of brit-pop sprinkled throughout. i don't really have much to say on them except that they are one those bands that i always mention who are often forgotten nowadays. if you are like me, then you must like thick layers of guitars and vocals that are sung softly. this type of music was found by chance one night back when i was stoned and listening to the Deftones. yes, the deftones. you see, after some investigation, i discovered a term used to describe some of their sound. that term was dream-pop. also, after getting into lead singer chino moreno's other project, Team Sleep, i discovered the shoegaze genre. all this happened in one day. looking back, i wouldn't change it at all. during that time, i was heavy into smoking pot and there was this one late late night, driving back from a party, where i REALLY discovered the deftones and this style of music that had many layers and dynamics. the pale saints fall in there somewhere during the digging through of these genre's.
today you will find one album by the pale saints and that is their debut called, The Comforts of Madness. this is a great piece of work and an album i just like to throw on from time to time. today was a good opportunity to remember these guys and gals in the pale saints and hopefully you might too. give them a listen and remember that this blog's main purpose is keep music alive. enjoy!!!
today i got to do some more of the continuous work that will forever be needed on my fancy dance outfit. it was the shaping of the design that will go on the bottom front apron. it was a chore on how to shape it just perfectly, but eventually i got it down. now, for the big part i have to learn how to do sequin beading. you know, those little flat, shiny, plastic discs that can take the place for beads and help you from doing more heavy work. yeah, those... ugh.
going back in time once again has led me to post on the band, Lush.
one of the forerunners in the 90's shoegaze movement from overseas, lush were held up high and caught on quick with their, ahem... lush guitars and soft vocals. the band formed in 1987, and were originally called, The Baby Machines. a few members went on to different bands before the group changed their name to lush. the two girl guitarists, emma anderson and miki berenyi, took on the vocal duties and drummer chris acland and bassist phil king represented the rest of the band. the group would last until 1996 when chris acland committed suicide in his parents house.
right here you will find two albums by the band. the first is my personal favorite release from the group and it's called, Gala. this album was the first release for american audiences since they were to be playing Lollapalooza that summer. it's a collection of their three ep's and it contains their earliest work. and in second place is their official debut album called, Spooky. eventually, in their latter years, the band would leave the shoegazing genre and move into a more brit-pop style of sound which was taking over during the middle 90's. okay, so you have it here and it's for you to enjoy. go dig some!!!

i think of you i feel for you i long for you i really need you please come back to me please come back please come back to me please come back...
i can feel the heat starting to creep up on me here in oklahoma. when the summer officially hits, i start to melt like ice cream. we don't have dry heat here, nope. instead we have humidity which, in my opinion, is much much worse. it's the kind of sticky heat that annoys more than hurts. (it does hurt also...) imagine getting all cleaned up and ready to hit the town when you notice, that the second you stepped outside your cool zone, you begin to sweat like someone who's been playing street hockey all day. it totally sucks and makes you feel like some sort of overweight walrus that just sweats all the time anyway. (that's how i feel...) yeah, summer is almost here. good thing the concerts and powwows keep me going.
since it's almost summer, i need to start busting out my heat quenching music. these tunes keep me cool and happy and they also make me wanna go crazy. one of those bands that kill the angry sun are Madness.
alongside other two-tone ska bands like, The Specials and The Selector, madness were held up in high regards and often mentioned as being the best of the bunch. the band started in 1976 and lasted until 1986. they reunited in 1992 and have been together ever since. they had early success with a few singles and the eventual release of their debut album, One Step Beyond. they were also controversial because they were often talked about in regards to the national front and nazi sympathy. they latter denied such rumors and disappointed many skinheads. the band changed up their style to a more pop friendly sort of way and had some of their biggest hits in the 80's. one such hit was the song, "our house" which reached #7 in the US charts.
today you will find only one album here. it is the debut record, One Step Beyond. as mentioned by tons of other people before me, whenever you put this record on, you can't help but move your feet!!! it's a seriously fun album and one that can make any party spring to life quicker than a fight or someone using meth for the first time. get in on this and ENJOY!!! (oh, and just for some quick history, in the video below, the crowd went so crazy that they caused an earthquake that measured 4.5 on the richter scale!!!)
http://www.mediafire.com/?42zywjyz1jt
Hey you, don't watch that Watch this! This is the heavy heavy monster sound The nuttiest sound around So if you've come in off the street And you're beginning to feel the heat Well listen buster You better start to move your feet To the rockinest, rock-steady beat Of madness One step beyond!
it seems that today is starting off slowly, but that's okay. for once, it's not a bad day. yeah, some plans were canceled, but that's okay too. tomorrow is the the start of my weekend full of awesome events and i can't help but be super excited about it all. but for now, let's get through this day.
a little bit of a lazy feeling makes me want to listen to some, XTC.
forming in 1976 and breaking up in 2005, XTC were one of the best critically praised nu-wave bands during those formative years. they hail from swindon, england which was home to that other branch who closed down and got inter mixed with the office park in slough, berkshire at wernham hogg paper company... (watch the bbc version of the office ya chumps!!!)
anyway, XTC were not huge selling artists, but that doesn't mean the quality of their music pails. they seemed to top themselves with every album and are often mentioned when asked about the nu-wave genre. today you will find their album, Skylarking. this is what many consider to be their best work and it's my personal favorite. enjoy!!!

Laying on the grass my heart it flares like fire The way you slap my face just fills me with desire You play hard to get 'Cause you're teacher's pet But when the boats have gone We'll take a tumble excuse for a fumble Shocked me too the things we used to do on grass If you fancy we can buy an ice-cream cone Your mate has gone She didn't want to be alone I will pounce on you Just us and the Cuckoos You are helpless now Over and over we flatten the clover Shocked me too the things we used to do on grass It would shock you too the things we used to do on grass Grass, grass. Things we did on grass
