Wild horses couldn't throw me away...

"this blog post was written ahead of time and meant to be posted yesterday. i failed to do this last night, so i'm posting it now. the time frame was originally supposed to be every other day for a post, but i missed one. this isn't unusual and i apologize for this. i'm off work tomorrow, but tomorrow is going to be a bit of a sad day. you see, we have to put my dog chewbacca to sleep. i love that dog and i wish him to travel well and wait for me when it's my time to pass on..."

last night was a test of endurance and dedication towards my passion for playing good video games. i spent over three hours waiting in line for the new Call of Duty release. the wind was blowing and the temperature felt like it was freezing, yet not as bad as the actual COLD weather we're sure to get here soon. once the doors opened, i was lucky enough to get my hands on the special “hardened” edition of the game and came to find out it was one of the last three in the store. that was too close for comfort, so next time when it comes to a big release such as this, i’ll go ahead and reserve the thing!!! oh, and since i had work the next day, i chose to not play the game right away. i’d rather savor the moment instead of staying up super late being tired and not really all there…

ah, i also forgot to mention this, but i also picked up a copy of Scott Pilgrim Vs the World on blu ray. this was one of the better movies of the summer for sure and i couldn’t wait for it to come out on blu ray, so yay to that!!! aw man, i also found out that The Pacific was released on blu ray as well, so i gotta get that sometime soon. heck, maybe tomorrow!!!

let’s make this short and sweet and get on with the music. today’s profile band is The Sunday’s.

this band was from london, england, formed in 1988 and broke up in 1997. they released three albums and had several singles in the uk. they are a great dream-pop band, with female vocals that remind me of artists like, Lisa Germano, Mira, Velocity Girl, The Cocteau Twins and Slowdive. they garnered some success with their cover of The Rolling Stones song, “wild horses,” which is an amazing version on it’s own. there really isn’t much more for me to say here. you just gotta try them out and see if you dig it…

and for the albums, we first start with their debut, Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. next we have the album, Blind, which is my personal fave and then lastly we have, Static and Silence. give these a listen and enjoy the tunes. it sort of goes with the weather and overall mood i'm in. nice and sleepy, with a bit of a chilly touch...
